Mississippi Valley Therapeutic Horsemanship Side Walkers MVTH volunteers are needed as side-walkers. Most riders require two side-walkers...one on each side of the horse. Side-walkers focus on the rider at all times; helping with stability, watching for signs of weakness or pain, and encouraging concentration and speech. Side-walkers are also trained on how to grab a child off the horse, should the horse experience problems. Lessons are 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

Voices for Children/CASA of Southeast Missouri Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) CASA Volunteers are the voice of these children and will meet with their child/children on regular basis to report progress. CASA Volunteers receive 30 hours of training prior to service, become officers of the court and advocate for for abused and neglected children.
